Classic cream and gold cdv from the early 1890s. The attached print is unusually thick, and suggests that some variant of the carbon process was used in its preparation.
Classic green and gold cabinet card probably also from the early 1890s. It too has a thick print peeling away from the backing card, and the high gloss finish characteristic of a chromotype finishing process
Carefully composed family portrait (as might be expected from someone with 60 medals! ) on a 16.8 x 22.5cms card (not all of the card is shown) bearing a 9.7 x 14.1 print - about the standard size for the earlier cabinet card. The card design and the fashion suggest a date in the early 1900s.
