A cabinet card unfortunately cut at the bottom. The proprietor is not known with certainty, but a likely candidate is W. C. Johnston who occupied the premises between these dates, though he was Glasgow born, with no known connection to N.E. England.. William Hall and Archibald Robertson were at this address earlier in the century, but neither had previously shown any American tendencies!
