'Uncle George' seem to have had the misfortune to be photographed by a practitioner who escaped the notice of the compilers of the trade directories, so we have no direct evidence of the dates he operated. The print is on a card supplied by the printers 'A A & Co., Glasgow', who supplied cards for Turnbull & Sons in the mid 1880s.
